Huge timbers make up the frame with large mortise and tenon joints. Finished with dark stain, sanded mostly off, then finished with transparent stain and satin poly for an antique look. The entire thing is built "knock down" style (so it can be taken apart in the future) as it would otherwise be too large to fit through a standard door.
